On the 3rd of November 2021 the Presidents of the Burgos Provincial Government and the Society for the Development of Burgos Province (SODEBUR) endorsed the Action Plan for the Province of Burgos produced by SODEBUR and CEEI-Burgos as partners of Interreg Europe INTER VENTURES in collaboration with the regional stakeholders group formed by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y Leon (ICE), Territorial Delegation of ICEX (Spain and Trade Investments), the Chamber of Commerce of Burgos, FAE Burgos (Businesses Association’s Federation), ADRI Ribera del Duero Burgalesa (LAG) and University Isabel I.
This Action Plan actually points out what will be done in the province of Burgos (Spain) during the period February 2022 – January 2023 to ensure that the lessons learnt from INTER VENTURES project during the first two years of interregional learning process are put into action. In fact, it specifies the nature of the actions to be implemented, their timeframe, the stakeholders involved, the costs and funding sources as well as the way the action derives from the project.
The main goal of the Action Plan is integrating all the knowledge gained during this first stage of INTER VENTURES project to improve the Strategic Plan Burgos Rural for the period 2021 – 2025 (PEBUR2125) actually being designed and developed by SODEBUR which is aiming at improving internationalisation processes among SMEs located in the rural areas of Burgos province.
Within the framework of this plan, two main global actions have been designed for this purpose responding to the main needs of Burgos SMEs in terms of internationalization processes, which, further to previous research performed at the beginning of the implementation phase of the project, are on capacity building and financing issues.
